For years, I’ve been searching for the perfect all-natural body care products. After testing loads of products for years and years, these are my top picks:
I’m a big fan of the Dr. Bronner’s Naked Organic Lip Balm. It’s fragrance free, slides on like silk, and keeps my lips moisturized all day. The first ingredient listed is organic avocado oil, which I now know is magical for lips. You won’t find any synthetic ingredients on the list. And did you know that Dr. Bronner’s is a local company located in Vista, California? So you might even find them doing in-store product demonstrations around San Diego.
We all want to give up our aluminum antiperspirants, right? Years ago, the all-natural alternatives were poorly formulated and didn’t do the job, causing us all to give up on them and remain hesitant to ever try them again. I can now say that I’ve found one that I trust to keep me dry and free of BO. Nothing will prevent wetness quite like an aluminum antiperspirant, but this formula absorbs the wetness pretty quickly. Finally, I’m a convert.
Thank you Marie Veronique for taking the guesswork out of my skincare routine and spelling it out for me! This kit is perfect for someone like me who suffers from clogged pores and occasional breakouts. It contains a cleanser with natural alpha and beta hydroxy acids, a mist that calms inflammation and redness, a serum packed with B vitamins, and an oil that clears and decongests. Everything is made in small batches in Berkeley, CA and will arrive beautifully packaged with easy instructions for use.
Yes, Dr. Bronner’s has made it on my list again. I might as well buy this stuff by the gallon (and you can). My favorite is the almond scent. The first ingredient listed is coconut oil. All the ingredients are organic and fair trade, and they’re packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled bottles. Everyone in my home uses this for showering, even my young son and puppy.
I use this as a moisturizer after my showers. It absorbs quickly without leaving an oily residue. It’s made with peanut oil, olive oil, lanolin oil, and Vitamin E. If you’re lucky enough to have someone to massage you, it makes a great massage oil. I get mine from my local Pharmaca store, but you can also purchase from Amazon.
Gone are the days of using chemical sunscreens. By now, I hope you all have swapped your chemical sunscreens for physical/mineral sunscreens. I’ve tried just about every mineral sunscreen for my face on the market and this one is the clear winner. It’s moisturizing but goes on completely matte, it can be used under makeup with no problem, and it won’t cause breakouts or clogged pores. It doesn’t leave a white chalky residue like some mineral sunscreens. And to top it off, it has a super light and refreshing natural scent.
Before I realized DeVita made a larger sized body moisturizing sunscreen, I was using the face sunscreen all over my body! This stuff is amazing. The sun is strong in Southern California, so I put this all over my body when I’m going to be outside. It’s not oily, greasy, or heavy feeling. And it’s fragrance free.
